About Eureka

Eureka is a tiny, quiet community tucked into Clinton County's Greenbush Township, just north of St. Johns. Home to around 230 residents, it offers a peaceful rural setting surrounded by open mid-Michigan farmland. Settled in the mid-nineteenth century, the area went by several colorful names like Swizzletown before settling on Eureka in 1867. Landmarks like the historic grain elevator and an 1896 post office building still stand today, giving the crossroads plenty of classic small-town charm.
