Eustis sits along the eastern shore of Lake Eustis, part of the popular Harris Chain of Lakes in Central Florida. With around 23,000 residents, it has the feel of an established small town while offering all the everyday grocery stores, services, and conveniences you need. Downtown connects directly to the water at Ferran Park, where you will find a lakeside walking path, a historic open-air bandshell, a playground, and spots to fish or launch a kayak. Neighborhoods throughout town range from century-old historic cottages and mid-century ranch homes to quiet waterfront properties and newer subdivisions. The town got its start in the 1870s as a winter retreat for boaters and citrus growers, and you can still see that vintage Florida character around town. Every February, Eustis hosts Georgefest, recognized as the longest-running celebration of Washington’s birthday in the country, filling the streets with parades, live music, carnival rides, and food vendors. Historic brick storefronts downtown house local coffee shops, taprooms, bakeries, and community theaters, alongside historic landmarks like the Ace Theatre. On typical weekends, residents spend time strolling the lakefront promenade, browsing farmers markets, and gathering for events in the park.

Most major retail and medical facilities are a short drive away along Highway 441. Commuting into Orlando takes about 45 to 60 minutes via State Road 429, though traffic can back up, so test drive your route during rush hour before settling on a neighborhood.
