Excelsior, MN

Excelsior is a lakeside city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, situated on the southern shore of Lake Minnetonka approximately sixteen miles southwest of Minneapolis. Established in the 1850s, the community of approximately 2,600 features a historic commercial district along Water Street listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is noted for its Victorian-era architecture. Public education is administered by the Minnetonka Public School District.
