About Fairmont

Fairmont is a city and the county seat of Martin County, Minnesota, built along a picturesque chain of five recreational lakes. Established in 1857, the industrial community of approximately 10,296 is home to the U.S. headquarters of Avery Weigh-Tronix and has hosted Fairmont Railway Motors for a century. Public education is served by the Fairmont Area Schools district.
