About Falcon Heights

Falcon Heights is a Klamath County census-designated place south of Klamath Falls and east of Midland along Old Midland Road. The 2020 census counted 680 residents. The gated community was built in 1958 as 290 units of federal housing for Air Force personnel stationed at nearby Kingsley Field. Klamath County School District, Klamath Community College's service area, the homeowners association, and Klamath Falls utilities and jobs shape current life.

The housing changed hands in 1997, when a Klamath Falls development company acquired the property and sold units to individual buyers. That shift left Falcon Heights with a history tied to military service, private homeownership, and the continuing aviation presence at Kingsley Field. The community's 118 acres are managed by an elected HOA board, while local roads connect residents to Old Midland Road, Klamath Falls, and nearby schools and employers. It is a former base-housing enclave that now operates as a residential community beside an active regional job and training corridor.
