About Fellows

Fellows is a quiet, tiny community in western Kern County, sitting just north of Taft along Highway 33. Founded during the California oil boom in the early 1900s, the historic settlement is home to only a few dozen residents today. It remains a peaceful, rugged outpost surrounded by working oil fields and wide-open Central Valley landscapes.
