Fircrest, WA

Fircrest is a small Pierce County city almost enclosed by Tacoma and University Place. Incorporated in 1925, it was originally planned with a residential, park-like feel, and that compact suburban character still defines it. Regents Park is one local landmark, while nearby Tacoma provides jobs, hospitals, shopping, and larger-city services. Fircrest is not large, but it has a distinct municipal identity: residential streets, local schools, small parks, and a tucked-away location between two better-known South Sound communities.
