About Flanders

Flanders is a coastal hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Southampton, Suffolk County, New York. Situated on the south side of the Peconic River at its mouth in Peconic Bay, the community of approximately 6,600 is home to the famous Big Duck monument, a national historic landmark built in 1931. Zoned within the Riverhead Central School District, the neighborhood lies directly across the river from Riverhead.
