Florissant, MO

Florissant is one of the older settlements in Missouri and a major suburb in north St. Louis County. Its early history reaches back to the Valley of Florissant, and the city still has examples of Missouri French architecture, including wood-frame residences that set it apart from many later suburbs. Florissant also has a historic district and long-established civic institutions, along with modern health care and commercial services such as Northwest HealthCare. The result is a large suburban city with a much older local story underneath it.
