Floyd, AR

Floyd is a White County crossroads along Highways 31 and 305, with the old school cafeteria still serving as a community center after the school district consolidated into Beebe. The place keeps a rural calendar: the White County Fair and Livestock Show, an Independence Day parade and fireworks, Extension Homemakers, and the small gatherings that use the Floyd Community Center. The name sits in western White County's farm country, not far from the larger Searcy area but separate from it. Floyd is a CDP without a formal town government, yet the old school, roads, fair ties, and community building give it a recognizable center.
