Forest Heights is a small, quiet town in Prince George's County, Maryland, tucked right along the southern border of Washington, D.C. Originally developed during the 1940s and 1950s for federal workers and scientists at the nearby Naval Research Laboratory, the neighborhood is mostly made up of modest mid-century houses with mature trees and spacious yards. Route 210 runs straight through the community, giving drivers quick access to the Capital Beltway, downtown D.C., and the waterfront shops at National Harbor.

Daily life here has a relaxed, small-town feel, anchored by local parks, two neighborhood elementary schools, and an active municipal government. Since Forest Heights is almost entirely residential, locals head to nearby Oxon Hill, Alexandria, or Upper Marlboro for major shopping centers, restaurants, and medical facilities.
