Forkland, AL

Forkland is a small town in Greene County, Alabama, set between two major river systems: the Black Warrior River a few miles to the east and the Tombigbee River a few miles to the west. Its history shows in St. John's-In-The-Prairie, an 1859 church listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with Rosemount and Thornhill nearby. Forkland is rural and compact, but its river-country setting and historic buildings give it a stronger sense of place.
