About Forrest City

Forrest City is a city and the county seat of St. Francis County, Arkansas. Positioned along Crowley's Ridge, a unique geological formation rising above the flat Mississippi Delta, the city was named after General Nathan Bedford Forrest following post-Civil War railroad construction between Memphis and Little Rock. Today the city is served by the Forrest City School District and its local Chamber of Commerce is headquartered in the historic Becker House.
