About Four Corners

Four Corners is a small Montgomery County community just north of Washington, D.C., where Colesville Road crosses the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River. Its local history goes back to an eighteenth-century mill near what became the Burnt Mills area, and the nearby Burnt Mills Dam parks remain a practical landmark for walkers and hikers heading onto the Northwest Branch Trail. It is a close-in suburb, but one with creek valleys, older crossroads history, and quick access to Silver Spring.
