About Fowler

Fowler is Benton County’s seat, and its beginnings are unusually tidy on paper. Moses and Eliza Fowler platted the town on October 26, 1872, with 583 lots; a 1875 re-plat expanded it to 1,602 lots across 20 blocks. The courthouse arrived soon after and still sits at the center of the town’s civic story, while the Fowler Theatre and Fraser & Isham law office are among the local buildings on Benton County’s historic list. Out beyond town, wind turbines now dot the Benton County horizon, adding a new layer to a place laid out for farms, roads, and courthouse business. Fowler’s local shorthand is old grid, county seat, and big sky.
