About Fox Lake
Fox Lake is a Dodge County town wrapped around a 2,713-acre lake, with the separate City of Fox Lake sitting inside the town boundary. The 2020 census counted 2,588 residents across the town. Delbern Acres, Fox Lake Junction, and Lyndon Dale are also part of the town’s map, so the name covers more than one settlement. The lake is the common thread, a broad piece of water that keeps the town’s roads and neighborhoods oriented toward the shoreline.
Fox Lake is a working recreation place, with fishing, boating, paddling, public piers, launches, and parks along the water. The lake is shallow by Wisconsin standards, reaching about nineteen feet at its deepest, which helps give it a broad feel from the shore. The city and town overlap on the map, but the local idea is simple: one lake, several communities, and a county road network that keeps the whole shoreline in the same conversation. Fox Lake is less a single downtown than a shared piece of Dodge County geography.
