Frankfort, MI

Frankfort sits right where the Betsie River flows into Lake Michigan, giving this northern Michigan beach town water on almost every side. Daily life here revolves around a compact downtown along Main Street, where local shops, bakeries, and casual restaurants sit just a few blocks from the marina and a wide public beach. The paved first section makes for an easy bike ride over to Crystal Lake, while the unpaved portions inland stay popular with hikers, cross-country skiers, and snowmobilers as the seasons turn.
