Franklin Park is a Somerset County community within Franklin Township, located along the suburban corridor between New Brunswick, Princeton, and central New Jersey job centers. The area was once known as Six Mile Run, named for a tributary of the Millstone River, and nearby stream names such as Ten Mile Run still show up on the local map.
