About Frazee

Frazee is a Becker County city whose first settlement was called Detroit and later Third Crossing before the name Frazee stuck. The railway shaped the town: in 1874 the depot was hauled across the river on two flat cars to the new station north of the track. Today the city is known for Turkey Days, a recurring July celebration built around the giant turkey landmark, while Daggett Truck Line has carried refrigerated and dry freight from Frazee for 80 years. Frazee-Vergas Public Schools and Frazee Care Center are also among the city's largest employers. It is a Minnesota city where railroad history, freight work, school, care, and a very large turkey share the same map.
