Tucked into the rolling countryside of northeastern Chambers County, Fredonia offers a quiet, slow-paced lifestyle for roughly 200 residents near the Georgia border. Back in the mid-1800s, it served as a lively trade hub complete with hotels, taverns, a jug factory, and the county's first Methodist church. Today, it retains that deep connection to local heritage, providing plenty of open space and country charm just a short drive from LaFayette and West Point Lake.

A standout landmark in the community is the historic New Hope Rosenwald School. Built in 1915 to educate Black children during the segregation era, the one-room schoolhouse served local families for five decades.
