Fremont is a city and the county seat of Sandusky County, Ohio, situated along the Sandusky River. Located thirty-five miles southeast of Toledo, the community of approximately 15,835 was the historic home of U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes and contains the presidential library. Public education for local students is served by the Fremont City School District.
