About Garibaldi

Garibaldi sits on Tillamook Bay along U.S. 101, and the working harbor still shapes the town. The Port of Garibaldi began as the Port of Bay City in 1910 and was historically a timber port and fishing village before commercial fishing became more important. Today the harbor has moorage for 277 vessels and serves commercial fishermen and charter operations. A public boat launch, two public docks for fishing and crabbing, a waterfront walking path, and Lumbermen’s Park put the port into regular use. The Garibaldi Maritime Museum adds Northwest maritime history, giving the town a compact set of places where residents and visitors encounter the bay, boats, working docks, and the industry that built the community.
