Gautier, MS

Gautier is a coastal city in Jackson County, Mississippi, located along the Gulf of Mexico just west of Pascagoula. Named after the French immigrant Gautier family who established a homestead here in the nineteenth century, the bedroom community of approximately 19,000 is surrounded by bayous and wetlands on three sides. The city is home to the Jackson County Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and is served by the Pascagoula-Gautier School District.
