Georgetown is a small, quiet residential neighborhood in Wilkes-Barre Township, located along East Northampton Street just east of the city. Like much of the Wyoming Valley, the area grew up during the region's coal mining heyday, when working families settled near the local collieries. Today, it keeps that classic northeastern Pennsylvania feel, tucked neatly between the city border and the busy corridors of Interstate 81 and Route 309.
