Gettysburg is a historic borough and the county seat of Adams County, Pennsylvania. Best known as the site of the pivotal 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, the community of approximately 8,254 is a major tourism hub centered around the surrounding Gettysburg National Military Park. Public education is administered by the Gettysburg Area School District.
