Gilbertsville is a village in Otsego County, New York, United States. The 2020 census counted 308 residents. The village is in Butternuts and is west of Oneonta. Eckmair, for much of the 20th century, the Village of Gilbertsville lived under threat of destruction by a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ' flood control project.
