About Gilbertsville

Gilbertsville is a census-designated place in Douglass Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, situated at the junction of Routes 73 and 100. Named for the descendants of Hans George Gilbert, who emigrated from Germany in 1750, the community of approximately 6,165 was historically famous as the home of Zern's Farmer's Market until its closure in 2018. Public education is administered by the Boyertown Area School District.
