About Glasgow

Glasgow is a city and the county seat of Barren County, Kentucky, situated in the south-central portion of the state near Mammoth Cave National Park. Established in 1799 and named after the Scottish birthplace of a founder's father, the community of approximately 15,200 is famous for hosting the annual Scottish Highland Games. The city operates its own independent school district and hosts a branch of Western Kentucky University.
