Glen Lyn, VA

Glen Lyn is an unincorporated community in Giles County, Virginia, United States, at the confluence of the East and New rivers. The 2020 census counted 95 residents. Glen Lyn is part of the Blacksburg-Christiansburg metropolitan area. John Toney built the first brick house in Giles County in 1780. The Henry Reed Memorial Fiddlers Convention, which celebrates the legacy of the noted old-time musician Henry Reed, who was a resident of Glen Lyn, has been held each June since 2003. Glen Lyn Park, a public park maintained by the Giles County Parks and Recreation Department is located in the community.
