Glendale, MS

Glendale is a Forrest County CDP on Mississippi Highway 42 about six miles north of Hattiesburg. The place began as Hickory Grove, a farming community settled by Perry Jones, and took the name Glendale around 1910. Today it sits inside the Hattiesburg metro while keeping a separate community name along the north-south highway.
