About Glenpool

Glenpool is a city in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, located fifteen miles south of downtown Tulsa along U.S. Route 75. Named after the historic Glenn Pool Oil Reserve discovered on Ida E. Glenn's farm in 1905, the community of approximately 14,200 celebrates its petroleum heritage with the annual Black Gold Days festival. Now primarily a suburban commuter town, the city is served by the Glenpool School District, whose high school football team has won multiple state championships.
