About Glenview Hills

Glenview Hills is a tiny home-rule city in northern Jefferson County, set between Glenview and Glenview Manor along Glenview Avenue. It took its name from Glenview and incorporated in 1972, more than a decade before the original town received similar recognition, so the name carries a little boundary history with it. The wider Glenview area grew from rural land into a patchwork of independent cities and neighborhoods, and Glenview Hills still keeps its own commission, clerk, and city address. Louisville is nearby, but the municipal line matters here. Glenview Hills is a northern Jefferson County pocket where the hills, tree canopy, and a very small city government all share the same map.
