About Gobles
Gobles is a city in Van Buren County of the U.S. state of Michigan. The 2020 census counted 851 residents. Gobles was originally called Gobleville, after its founders, the Goble family. In 1864–5, John Goble built a hotel in this location. The Kal-Haven Trail, which runs from Kalamazoo to South Haven, Michigan, goes through the city's business district. Gobles makes sense once you see how its past, landscape, and current gathering spots overlap. The useful thing to know about Gobles is that its older landmarks and current settings belong to one connected place. In 1870, the area was platted as 'Gobleville' by Hiram E. Gobles includes the Kal-Haven Trail.
