About Gold Beach

Gold Beach is a coastal city and the county seat of Curry County, Oregon, bordered to the north by the Rogue River. Originally named Ellensburg in the 1850s and later renamed for its historic gold placer mining operations, the community of approximately 2,466 is served by the Central Curry School District, which operates Gold Beach High School.
