Golovin, AK

Golovin is a small coastal city in the Nome Census Area, Alaska, situated on a point of land between Golovnin Bay and Golovnin Lagoon. Located on the southern coast of the Seward Peninsula, the community was originally established as an Inupiat village named Chinik. Today, Golovin has a population of approximately one hundred and seventy-five residents, relying primarily on subsistence activities.
