About Gordonville
Gordonville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Leacock Township, Pennsylvania, United States. The 2010 census counted 508 residents. The Old Order Amish constitute a significant cultural presence in the area of the village. Wendell Berry mentioned the town in one of his collections of essays. The short version is that Gordonville carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now. That is the local read on Gordonville: its past remains attached to the places people use now. The town resulted from the railroad that planned to pass through the area. Gordonville is bordered to the southwest and south by Soudersburg.
