Grace, MS

Tucked into the rural Mississippi Delta in Issaquena County, Grace is a quiet, wide-open community steeped in history. Its most famous landmark is the Grace Mounds, an ancient Native American site along Steele Bayou. Two large grassy mounds still rise prominently above the surrounding farmland, built centuries ago by early inhabitants who crafted intricate pottery and the well-known carved stone Issaquena Disk. While the earthworks sit on private property today, you can easily view their towering silhouettes right from Mississippi Highway 1 and Grace Road as you travel through this peaceful corner of the Delta.
