Grafton is a city and the county seat of Walsh County, North Dakota, situated in the northeastern part of the state. Founded in 1881 on land first homesteaded by Nils Monson and positioned at the intersection of U.S. Highway 81 and State Highway 17, the community of approximately 4,102 is served by the Grafton Public Schools system.
