About Grand Bay
Grand Bay is an unincorporated community in southwest Mobile County, Alabama, situated within the Mobile metropolitan area. First settled by George Cassibry, the agricultural area is known for its commercial production of peaches and weather-hardy satsuma oranges. The community's business district stretches along U.S. Route 90, and the town is famous for hosting the annual Grand Bay Watermelon Festival, a July 4th tradition held continuously since 1973.
