Grand View, ID

Grand View is a quiet rural town in Owyhee County, set along the south bank of the Snake River about 25 miles southwest of Mountain Home. Originally established in the late 1800s as a river ferry landing and farming hub, the community has kept its easygoing, small-town character. Green fields of alfalfa, corn, and sugar beets spread across the valley floor, quickly giving way to rugged high desert and miles of open country.

Outdoor recreation is a big part of daily life here. Residents have direct access to the water through Riverside Park and the Rio Lindo boat ramp, and nearby C.J. Strike Reservoir is a favorite local spot for boating, camping, and fishing. Families are served by the Bruneau-Grand View School District. Most major shopping trips and medical appointments mean driving into Mountain Home or Boise, but day to day, Grand View provides a tight-knit community with plenty of space to breathe.
