Green Spring, KY

Green Spring is a home rule-class city in northern Jefferson County, set against the larger Louisville/Jefferson County map. Prospect borders it to the north, while consolidated Louisville/Jefferson County surrounds the other sides; Interstate 265 marks the northern edge. The city was formally incorporated in 1974 and handles its own business through a mayor and City Commission. Downtown is the local reference point, with city offices and meetings giving the place a civic center inside northern Jefferson County.
