Greenbelt, MD

Greenbelt is a Maryland city just outside Washington, D.C., best known as one of the planned New Deal communities built in the 1930s. Settled as a public cooperative community in 1937, it still has a historic district and a layout shaped by parks, walkways, and shared civic space.
