Greenwood, AR

Greenwood is one of Sebastian County's two county seats and part of the Fort Smith metro. It was founded in 1851 when its location was chosen for the county seat, so the courthouse role is built into the town's origin. Greenwood's walking trail system, annual Fall Festival, and historic school site give it local texture without making it feel overdecorated. It is a practical western Arkansas city: civic, residential, and closely tied to Fort Smith while keeping its own small-town center.
