About Greenwood

Greenwood is a city and the county seat of Leflore County, Mississippi, situated along the Yazoo River. Established in 1834 as a trading post called William's Landing, the historic community of approximately 14,086 features multiple markers on the Mississippi Blues Trail. Public education is served by the Greenwood Public School District.
