Grissom AFB, IN

Located along US-31 between Kokomo and Peru, Grissom AFB is a small, quiet community in north-central Indiana shaped by decades of aviation history. Named after Hoosier astronaut Virgil "Gus" Grissom, the area started as a World War II naval flight facility before becoming an active Air Force installation during the Cold War.
