Grosse Pointe Farms, MI

Grosse Pointe Farms is one of the Grosse Pointe communities east of Detroit, set along Lake St. Clair with a polished, residential lakefront character. The area was incorporated as the Village of Grosse Pointe in 1879 before the separate Grosse Pointe municipalities took their modern shape. Today the Farms is known for older homes, tree-lined streets, private clubs, lake access, and strong local schools, which are also a major employer. It feels closely tied to Detroit, but with a distinct, established East Side identity.
