Grosse Pointe Park, MI

Grosse Pointe Park is one of the Grosse Pointe communities east of Detroit, along the edge of the city and near Lake St. Clair. Before becoming a city, the area was incorporated as the Village of Fairview and later as the Village of Grosse Pointe Park along Alter Road. Grosse Pointe Public Schools serves the community. The city has a distinctive borderland feel: elegant older homes, lake access, strong local parks, and a sharp transition into Detroit at its western edge.
