Guymon is a city and the county seat of Texas County, Oklahoma, serving as the largest municipality in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Established in 1901 along the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway, the city of approximately 12,539 has an agricultural economy dominated by cattle feedlots, pork processing, and natural gas production. The community has a majority Hispanic population and public education is administered by the Guymon Public Schools.
