About Hadley

Hadley is a Saratoga County community within the Adirondack Park, west of Glens Falls and along the edge of the Great Sacandaga Lake. The town formed in 1801 from parts of Greenfield and Northumberland, after the first settler arrived around 1788, and it took its name from Hadley, Massachusetts. Hadley Mountain gives the place its vertical marker, while the northern and eastern town lines meet Warren County. The lake, the mountain, and the park do most of the local framing. Hadley is an Adirondack town with an old New England name and a map shaped by water, ridges, and county lines.
