Haileyville is a quiet town of about 700 residents in Pittsburg County, located in the rolling hills of southeastern Oklahoma. Sitting along Highway 270, it is just fifteen minutes east of McAlester and right next door to Hartshorne. The community originally grew as a bustling rail and coal hub around the turn of the twentieth century, but today it offers a relaxed rural setting surrounded by ranchland and open country.
